Plaza Auto Mall Commits $10,000 to Humanitarian Efforts in #Ukraine

  • Brooklyn-based Plaza Auto Mall commits $10,000 to help the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Ukraine by donating to UNICEF.

Brooklyn, New York, March 4, 2022

Plaza Auto Mall announces that it is donating $10,000 to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). Adam Rosatti, General Manager for the group, says, “We at Plaza Auto Mall have been deeply moved by the devastating images of displaced and distraught families escaping the conflict in Ukraine, especially children, and feel strongly that we should donate in the hopes of making a difference in the lives of those in need.”

Rosatti continues, “Our management team decided to choose UNICEF as the most effective way of directly helping affected families and their children.”

“As a family-owned business that’s focused on helping our community with all things automotive, our core mission is being here for our local community when they need us for anything transportation related, and to help in other areas when we can. Although this crisis is happening thousands of miles from us, I feel strongly that we should not allow distance to create apathy”, says Rosatti. He encourages other NYC-based businesses to join him in his efforts to help these utterly vulnerable Ukrainian children as soon as possible.

Plaza Auto Mall’s management team is hoping other businesses looking to help will consider making a donation to #UNICEF or other international relief organizations such as Doctors Without Borders, Direct Relief, and The International Committee of The Red Cross.

The United Nations believes that over 800,000 refugees have fled #Ukraine to neighboring countries. Plaza Auto Mall’s donation to UNICEF will total $10,000 and provide immediate relief to refugees in need of basic necessities.

“Everyone associated with Plaza Auto Mall, from our customers and our ownership to managers and employees, are passionate and eager to help those suffering from this horrible war in Ukraine. We cannot and will not ignore the dire need so many are facing because of what is taking place. I simply can’t believe that this is happening in the 21st century in one of the largest countries in Europe. While we can’t solve the root problem, the very least that businesses like ours can do is to donate”, says Rosatti as he urges other business owners to do what they can to help out.
