Ringling College of Art and Design’s #1 Motion Design Program Presents Design Challenge for High School Students with 10,000 Dollars Prize Scholarship

Ringling College of Art and Design has partnered with EasyEase.co to offer students the chance to showcase their design and animation skills and win a 10,000 dollars scholarship and other prizes. High #school students are invited to create an exciting animated movie poster for their personal film titled, My World… and Welcome to It. This animated poster should be designed as if it were to be displayed in a movie theater lobby.

Challenge Dates and Eligibility

EasyEase is a website where students and professionals can submit their work and compete against others in the motion design community. Ringling College is proud to sponsor this design challenge to identify the next motion design superstar and reward them with an academic scholarship to further their talents and education. The Ringling College Animated Movie Poster Challenge is open to high school students from around the world. The challenge began on December 1, 2024, and runs through January 20, 2025. Winners will be announced in February 2025.

Join the #YouTube live stream on Monday, December 9, at 7 pm EST to learn more about the project details and have your questions answered by Ed Cheetham, Head of the Ringling College Motion #Design Department, and the team at «EasyEase«. 

This contest is limited to the first 100 submissions. Participants must currently be in high school or an equivalent grade level. When registering for the challenge, each participant must provide a faculty or teacher sponsor’s email and phone number. By participating in this challenge your submission information, including contact details, will be shared with Ringling College.

Challenge Prizes

1st Prize—one hour faculty portfolio review/consultation, 500 dollars cash prize, Motion Design t shirt, 10,000 dollars tuition scholarship to Ringling College of Art and Design undergraduate program (non transferable, dependent upon acceptance into the major of choice for Fall 2025 or Fall 2026)

2nd Prize—one hour faculty portfolio review/consultation, 400 dollars cash prize, Motion Design t shirt, Full tuition scholarship to Ringling College of Art and Design Pre College program (non transferable, valued at 4,440 dollars, applicable for Summer 2025 or Summer 2026 based on eligible age of 16 through 18 during program participation).

  • 3rd Prize—one hour faculty portfolio review/consultation, 300 dollars cash prize, Motion Design t shirt
  • 4th Prize—one hour faculty portfolio review/consultation, 200 dollars cash prize, Motion Design t shirt
  • 5th Prize—one hour faculty portfolio review/consultation, 100 dollars cash prize, Motion Design t shirt
